Frequently Asked Questions
Are chiropractic adjustments safe?
Yes! Chiropractic adjustments are a safe choice for managing musculoskeletal and related systems in your body. Whether you’re seeking corrective care or preventative maintenance, chiropractic care has a wealth of benefits for your body. Dr. Kat and Dr. Jake will conduct a thorough examination, consultation, health history review, and x-rays so your adjustments can be tailored to your specific needs.
How many adjustments will it take for me to see improvement?
Some of our patients may start to feel better after just one adjustment, others may take several adjustments to start seeing the benefits. The answer to this question is highly dependent on your specific health conditions and your daily life.
Do I need to keep going to the chiropractor after my injury or condition is healed?
Patients in our office first go through corrective care to address any health concerns we find and then are recommended to continue maintenance care as preventative maintenance. The frequency and duration of care differ from person to person.
Does your chiropractic clinic accept walk-in patients?
We are not able to guarantee any spots for walk-in patients as Dr. Katherine & Dr. Jacob have limited availability for new patient examinations.
How long should my course of treatment be?
We do not offer any ‘cookie-cutter’ treatment plans in our office. The course of treatment, both duration and included modalities, from one patient to the next can look very different depending on their current health conditions and needs.
Do you accept insurance?
Wilson Family Chiropractic is in network with select insurance companies and programs. We review this with all new patients during their first appointment!
What conditions can chiropractic help with?
Chiropractic care can help with a wide variety of health conditions. Due to our focus on family chiropractic, we can serve patients of any age. Whether you’re pregnant, suffering from headaches & migraines, low-back pain or just looking to optimize your health, we can help!
What does a new patient examination include?
Our new patient examinations include a 2 day process. On the first day we will complete a detailed health history review, complete a thorough examination & consultation, and then take a set of x-rays. On the second day, we will complete a report of findings, and go over our recommended treatment plan for you.
